School Mission Statement
The Air Force School was set up to provide education to the children of the Air Force personnel. The main objectives are: (1) A healthy and all-round development of the children. (2) providing opportunity for academic excellence. (3) Inculcating qualities of leadership through co-curricular activities and sports. The school is recognised as an unaided private co-educational institute affiliated to the CBSE. It is a day-cum-boarding (only for boys) school for the students in the age group of 5 and 17. It has classes from KG to Class XII.
School Background
The school was founded by the Late Air Chief Maarshal Subroto Mukerjee, the Chief of Air Staff, in 1955. It started in temporary wartime hutments at Wellngton Camp, Club Road, New Delhi and was shifted to its present location in May 1967. The Air Force School, Subroto Park, Delhi Cantonment along with its sister schools, Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodhi Road, New Delhi and the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute, Subroto Park, Delhi Cantonment - 10, is run by the IAF Educational and Cultural Soceity.
