School Background The Bangalore Military School, formerly known as King George VI Royal Indian Military College and Later as King George School, was started in May 1944 to provide education to the sons of Defence Service Personal to prepare them for a career in the Armed Forces, In September1952, the school was re-organised as a Residential Public School for boys. The objectives and the scope were enlarged and admissions were thrown open to the sons of Defence Service Officers and the sons of Civilians irrespective of caste, creed of social status.
