School Background
It was the renowned industrialist and philanthropist Shri G.D.Birla's dream to establish a unique system of education in Rajasthan. the School was founded by the Birla Education Trust in August 1944 as a Montessori School. It was started with 14 children under the able guidance of Dr. Maria Montessori, the world famous pioneer in child education. The school was then known as Shishu Mandir. It was built in the same year. By 1952 the school was changed into a purely residential institution. A year later the school was accepted as a full member of the Indian Public Schools Conference. The school has membership of Headmasters' Conference, London, National Progressive Schools' Delhi and Round Square Conference.
