School Mission Statement
The school aims at making young boys and girls good citizens. It also imparts a broad-based education so as to enable them to become worthy and dynamic leaders and thus make useful contributions to a changing and technologically advancing world, and to develop the physical, intelluctual, cultural and spiritual aspects of the child's personality by providing experience and practical skills. Particular attention is paid to the ethical and moral training of students ot develop in them a sense of initiative and responsibility; to teach them the value of social service, self discipline, self reliance, punctuality, cleanliness, loyalty, politeness, respect to seniors, importance of games, physical fitness and sportsmanship. The school aims at producing discipline students.
School Background
founded in the scared memory of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, on the occasion of his 500th birth anniversary, celebrateed in Novermber 1969, the Fifth Centenary School was started in a rented building in Dehara Dun.To manage the affairs of the institution the Fifth Centenary School Society was formed, which was registered under the Indian Societies Registratiion Act, in June 1970. The Society decided to acquire Vincent Hill. It acquired the Shangri-la estate in March 1977, which houses tthe Girls School and the Junior section (boys up to Class III).
