The history of Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' Public School, Jaipur begins from August 12th, 1943. Her highness Maharani Gayatri Devi Ji felt the need for a school specially for the girls where they could get an all-round education and at the same time maintain Indian culture. M.G.D. has ocme to occupy a place in the front rank of public schools in the country the first Grils' Public School to be accepted as member of I.P.S.C. in 1950. It has acquired international reputed by attaracting students from overseas as well. One of the finest features is that it is open to the girls of all classes without distinction of race, class or social status. The institution has developed all round, steadily widening its educational base and values. Intellectual, physical, to develop their all round personality.
