School Mission Statement

The legacy of progressive learning at Putney continues as a direct result of the generosity of alumni such as you. Tuition covers only three quarters of Putney's yearly operating budget. The rest comes from endowment income (including interest earned on bequests) and annual fund donations from the people who know, first hand, how important it is to pursue knowledge rather than recite lessons. Your donations also keep the program growing with such recent campus improvements as the Huseby House dormitory and the Michael S. Currier Center, one of Southern Vermont’s premier performing arts facilities. The world needs your creative thinking. Your school needs your continuing support.
