School Mission Statement

The primary aim of the school is to provide public school education to the boys mostly coming from rural areas, to prepare them for entry into the NDA. As they boys are groomed to become potential officers in the Armed Forces of our country, speical emphasis is given to activities directed towards character building, team spirit, dedication to purpose, a environment are encouraged to be honest, hard working, courageous, dignified, efficient, and studious. They are expected to be bodily stong young citizens of India.

School Background The concept of Sainik Schools originated with Mr. Krishna Menon, who was our Defence Minister the early sixties. Mr. Menon felt that a school with the rudiments of a mulitary way of life in each state of our country, could go a long way in building up an infrastructure for intake into the NDA. Thus Sainik Schools came into being in each state. This school is one of the 20 Sainik Schols of the country. It came into being on 16th July 1962.
