School Background Sainik School, Chittorgarh, is one of the five Sainik School first founded in the country by the then Defence Minister, Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon. The school was founded on 7th August, 1961. It was housed in Bhopal (what is now the Circuit House). The driving force behind the establishment of this school was Shri Mohanlal Ji Sukhadia, Ex CM and Governor. The founder principal was Brigadier Sankata Menon, AEC. He headed the institution from 24th June, 1961 to 26th August, 1967.
