The motto of the school is enshrined in the Sanskrit works "Vidya Jyoti, Jeevan Jyoti" meaning the "The light of knowledge is the light of life". School Background The school is the brainchild of Late Shri O. P. Jindal, the Chairman of the Jindal organisation, parliamentarian and philanthropist. He envisaged this institution as a seat of learning where the girl child will find holistic education and grow into an emancipated will-balanced woman. Late Shri O.P. Jindal was like a grand revered Banyan tree. In the shade of his benevolence, VDJS today has gorwn into a school with a global presence. He has lit up thousands of lives with the divine light of knowledge.
